4-H is America’s largest youth development organization and it empowers young people across the United states with the “skills to lead for a lifetime’.

CMS 4-H is an in-school program that is the first level of the organization holding monthly meetings in school where the students can learn how to conduct a meeting, as well as, actively participate in lessons presented by the 4-H agent,    Mrs. Tara .  Each student is asked to complete a project book related to science, technology engineering, math, agriculture, civic engagement or healthy living and life skills.  Students also have the opportunity to enrich their 4-H experience  attending after school activities at the Ouachita Parish 4-H office with Mrs. Tara.  They can also expand their knowledge and life skills when they attend the various camps.  CMS 4-H has participated in various service projects over the past two decades.

Ms. Carolyn Beeson’ has been the Volunteer Teacher Mentor for CMS 4-H for over 24 years.

Ms. Crystal McBride has assisted with CMS 4-H for the past two years as well as actively participate with her children as they showed animals and competed in related activities.
